Arkansas Big Foot

Posted by ken on February 7, 2018

Ark Bigfoot.jpgFor those of you who don't know me I grew up hunting the bottoms of  southern Arkansas as a kid. After watching The Legend of the Boggy Creek Monster as a 10 year old, which was set in southern Arkansas, I became...well lets just say i was a spooky kid. I was especially spooky in the woods at night raccoon hunting or walking in the dark to a deer stand. Flash forward 40 years and I LOVE the Finding Bigfoot TV show. It is basically the Scooby Doo TV show from my childhood, however with Bobo playing Scooby. They just need to buy a van and name it the Mystery Machine and the show would be complete (seriously, Ranae even looks like Velma!). I'll give you my experience on Toledo with a potential Big Foot in my follow up blog to this.  However during the fog delay at Rayburn a few weeks ago we were all standing around and talking about, well everything as you might expect when a couple hundred kindred spirit rednecks start telling tall tales. So somewhere in all this, to no ones surprise, well Big Foot came up. A friend, Scotty Villines, who lives up off the Buffalo River in Arkansas said something along the lines of "I've got a photo for you from one of my trail cams", and produced this amazing photo....obviously of a Big Foot....I mean what more evidence do we need..stay tuned for follow up blog confirming this BF's identity.

The following is a piece published back in 2014, written by Ken Smith after a similar loss on Toledo Bend. > Read More
